Former child star Wright Ngubeni is to make his return to the small screen.

Wright, known for his character in Generations in the early 2000s, will be a presenter on Mzansi Magic's Umkhonto Ogwaza Ekhaya, to air on February 9.

According to the channel, Umkhonto Ogwaza Ekhaya will have you on the edge of your seat. Wright, known for his work in Love Back, brings his flair to a spicy series that promises to keep viewers hooked from start to finish.

Umkhonto Ogwaza Ekhaya is a “rollercoaster of passion, betrayal and family loyalty like you’ve never seen before”. The 13-episode reality series follows courageous couples who are related and caught in the crossfire of forbidden love, societal norms and the fight for family approval. In each episode, viewers will meet couples who have fallen in love with each other, though they are somehow related — distant cousins, aunts and uncles.

They have navigated the challenges of keeping their romance hidden because they know it is culturally unacceptable, but now face the toughest challenge yet: will their families accept their love? It’s a battle of hearts vs heritage as each couple embarks on a deeply personal journey to seek approval for a future together.

Expect shocking revelations, dramatic confrontations and emotional breakdowns. Tensions rise when the couples must confront their loved ones about their future.
