Ford has confirmed that its updated Ford Territory will go on sale in South Africa in the coming weeks.
The facelifted model introduces subtle exterior design changes along with updates to cabin technology. Aimed at family buyers, the Territory remains Ford’s only locally available midsize SUV, competing with rivals such as the Kia Sportage, Toyota RAV4, Haval H6 and Jaecoo J7.

Power comes from the existing 1.8l turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine, producing 138kW and 318Nm. This is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Drive modes, automatic start-stop, and adaptive cruise control — available on Trend and Titanium derivatives — are included.
New to the range is Ford’s app connectivity, which allows owners to access certain vehicle functions remotely via a smartphone.

The updated model will be offered in new exterior colours, including Cactus Grey and Oasis Green.
Ford says the first units are expected to arrive locally within the next few weeks, with full specifications and pricing to be announced closer to launch.
