EC black market booze traders rub hands in glee

The country may have let out a collective groan when President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on Sunday that alcohol sales would again be banned “with immediate effect”, but it was quite another story for SA’s black market booze merchants. The illicit alcohol trade boomed during the previous lockdown ban, and there was no reason to think it would be any different this time round.
