The success of Berlin November would not have been possible without the hard work of its founder, Luthando Bara, and a group of sponsors who share his dream and passion for improving the Eastern Cape.

Since the event’s inception in 2013, it has gained widespread recognition and support from sponsors throughout the province and beyond.

This year, numerous sponsors have come on board to support the event, including some of the biggest corporations in the region.

The partners include Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency,  Umhlobo Wenene FM, Buffalo Toyota, the department of transport, Cell C, Small Enterprise Development Agency,  the Eastern Cape department of economic development, environment affairs and tourism,  Small Enterprise Finance Agency and the department of social development.

Hollywood Bets, Epol, SAB , Coca-Cola, Ice Tropez, Graham Beck, Avis Car rentals and Vodacom executives have also come on board.

Parks and tourism CEO Vuyani Dayimani said the agency was proud of the event’s success.

Dayimani said managing to reach 10 years and living up to the promise of uplifting the province was no easy task.

“Reaching 10 years is no child’s play, the event provides us with an opportunity to promote the Eastern Cape as a preferred destination with unique and authentic experiences.

“People travel across the country to attend this event that we adopted as a provincial signature event due to its potential, it’s growth and stellar performance over the years has been exceptional.”

He said the event has played a significant role in growing the tourism sector.

“It has assisted to grow the Eastern Cape domestic traffic and helps us to create a diversified tourism offering of the province and ultimately grow our economy,” Dayimani said.

Berlin November CEO Luxolo Ndlazi-Africa said they were excited to see the brand expand.

“As a brand, we are proud of the growth we have achieved over the years.”

Ndlazi said they hoped to see more big corporations joining in to support the vision.

“It makes us confident that the Eastern Cape entertainment industry remains a viable product that makes business sense to the corporate sector.

“We hope to see more events being sponsored and supported by big business so that more jobs can be created.”

She expressed gratitude to the sponsors who have supported the event.

Beverage partners Ice Tropez and Graham Beck have been generous, and the Small Enterprise Development and Small Enterprise Funding Agency will be exhibiting at the event.

While attendees can look forward to great music, cuisine, and horse racing, the department of social development will also be on hand to offer its services to the community.

“This includes psychosocial support, NPO compliance and registration.

“It will also be on-site to assist with making sure that patrons are aware of health and economic harms of alcohol, the protection of women and children as the country launches the 16 days of activism for no violence against women and children,” she said.
