Probe into allegations of maladministration in Makana welcomed

Stakeholders in Makhanda have welcomed news of the Special Investigating Unit’s investigation into the Makana local municipality and are urging all entities to co-operate. The SIU this week revealed that President Cyril Ramaphosa in September issued a proclamation empowering it to investigate allegations of serious maladministration and improper and unlawful conduct in the affairs of the municipality.
