• Portchie Takkie Workshop: Participants can decorate their own sneakers in the joyful, colourful style of South African artist Portchie (Jan Hendrik Viljoen). The workshop takes place from 9.30am to 12.30pm at Hobby Crafts Crossways, Shop 9, Crossways Village Centre, Schafli Rd, East London. • Kei Mouth Beer Fest: from noon at the Kei Mouth Country Club. Tickets cost R60 for adults and R10 for under-18s, offering access to a day packed with craft beer from local breweries such as Emeraldvale and Table 58, as well as mainstream favourites, including Castle SA and a Jägermeister stand. Live entertainment will be provided by popular band 3rd Degree, while food and craft stalls showcase local flavours and products. The festival is family-friendly, featuring activities for children, and attendees can even catch the Springbok rugby match during the festivities. Organised by the Kei Mouth Owners’ and Residents’ Association (KMORA), in collaboration with the Country Club, the event also supports community and club initiatives. • Misery Loves Company at Marquez in East London brings a night of blues, storytelling and original tunes. The trio, featuring powerhouse bassist and vocalist Kerry Hiles, gruff-voiced guitarist Rob Thompson and versatile drummer Kristo Zondagh, have impressed audiences nationwide with their hit tribute shows and dynamic performances. • The Komga Agricultural Show runs from Thursday to Saturday at the Komga Show Grounds, 2 Government Avenue. Gates open from 8am until late each day, with plenty of family-friendly entertainment and agricultural showcases on offer. • The iNtwasahlobo Fest will come alive, with Loyiso Bala performing live at Springbok Farmstall in Main Road, Gonubie.
