Eco-brick house the toast of Makhanda and environmentalists everywhere

Makhanda optometrist Dr Trevor Davies and an employee, Sivuyile Kewuti, have ignited huge excitement in the city with a novel new home they built using plastic bottles as bricks. The fantastic plastic house in eNkanini has taken social media by storm and done exactly what Davies intended: It has sparked curiosity, wonder and a desire to emulate and improve on the ideas he and Kewuti incorporated into the house with its unusual “eco-bricks”.
