Language crucial in SA transforming education

THE matric results may have faded from our memories, but as we move towards the fifth general election, the issue of education has been raised once more by political parties in their respective manifestos.more I was in the audience of the live recording of the 9 March SABC 1 Election Debate programme on education and, to my surprise, language was not mentioned in the hour long programme, even after the panelists from various political parties were asked about the language issue.
