Andile Lungisa bags a spot on the ANC provincial executive

Andile Lungisa is the only member that was contesting on the Babalo Madikizela slate that has made it on to the new ANC Eastern Cape executive committee.  The list was read out by ANC National Spokesperson  Pule Mabe during a media briefing on Tuesday morning.  Lungisa is ranked at number 30 on the list and is the last member to make the list.

Andile Lungisa is the only member that was contesting on the Babalo Madikizela slate that has made it on to the new ANC Eastern Cape executive committee. 

The list was read out by ANC National Spokesperson  Pule Mabe during a media briefing on Tuesday morning. 

Lungisa is ranked at number 30 on the list and is the last member to make the list. 

Other prominent leaders who did not make the cut include Mlibo Qoboshiyane, Babalo Madikizela, Mziwonke Ndabeni, Thabo Matiwane and Fezeka Nkomonye. 

Lungisa had contested the position of provincial treasurer, where he garnered 673 votes against Zolile Williams' 779 votes. 

Mabe said the ANC had been happy with the successful conference. 

“The outcomes of conference represent the democratic views  and wishes of the ANC and we wish the newly elected leadership the best of success,” Mabe said.
