Newly elected ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula says he will take on ill-disciplined members.
Speaking to the media at the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec on Monday evening, Mbalula said he would instil discipline and insisted that members must toe the party line.
"There will be no lawlessness in the ANC," he warned.
"Those who continue with shenanigans must be ready for me...it's gonna be me and them.
"If you say you are an ANC member, there are rules you must understand, and if you don't want to follow the party line, then you belong elsewhere."
Mbalula apologised to the delegates and the media for the registration and accreditation delays in the first two days of the national elective conference.
He said a big organisation like the ANC should lead by example.
"We need to correct that [glitches] decisively going into the future," Mbalula said.
"This was caused by shifting to online membership system."
Mbalula was determined to tackle financial woes at Luthuli House.
He said 'those with big pockets" could assist the ANC financially.
The party would accept donations, but with no strings attached.
"The task of raising more money for the ANC will always be on the agenda," Mbalula said.
He promised to ensure that ANC staff payment delays would be a thing of the past.
