Sasco cries foul after losing Fort Hare election to EFF body

The ANC-aligned South African Students Congress (Sasco) came out kicking and screaming after losing the student representative council (SRC) elections to EFF Student Command (EFFSC) at the University of Fort Hare last week. The EFFSC emerged victorious at both the university’s East London and Alice campuses after a hard-fought campaign, which ended with the winners carrying a coffin and conducting a mock funeral service to commemorate the “death” of Sasco.
