Chippa  United  coach  Lehlohonolo Seema is pleased with his team’s progress in the DStv Premiership League so far this season

The Eastern Cape-based professional  side  has collected  just  a point  from the two matches  they have played  so far  in the new season.

Chippa  played to a 1-1 draw against Cape  Town  City  which was followed  by a 1-0 loss to Kaizer  Chiefs on Tuesday.

Seema's team will look to record  their  first  win against Maritzburg United on Tuesday next week.

Considering that the team had offloaded  15 players  at the start  of the  season, the 40-year-old coach  said his players  were on the right track but just  needed some  patience.

“It [the team] is a work in  progress, I am not in a rush.

“The future  of this team looks bright  its just that we need to be patient,” Seema said.

“We are building  something that will  sustain us for longer.

“We have to try to minimise  our mistakes so that we don't suffer in a bad way.

“However, when we are saying we are building we must know that we are  in a competition and our supporters  are expecting a win.

“Our chairman  is also  expecting  a win."

With the transfer  window  period  closing  at the end of November  the former  Bloemfontein Celtic  mentor said he was happy with his squad but would look at  look  into  adding  one or two players  to the team before the window  closes.

“If you are building  something  that you want  to call it your own, you have to have  your  own players that will be with you for longer."
