The Border Super League is heading to its conclusion, and this time, unlike in previous seasons where the champions were determined with a round to spare, it is heading down to the wire.
Mathematically, Young Leopards, Buffs, Swallows, Fort Beaufort United, University of Fort Hare and defending champions East London Police all have a chance of lifting the silverware.
In the unofficial log standings, Young Leopards from Ducats are at the top on 34 points with two games in hand.
At the weekend, they will travel to Thembalethu High in KwaMaqoma and face fourth-placed FB United (27pts), who themselves have 160 minutes to make their run for the title.
Young Leopards are expected to have the greater firepower with their players somewhat rested after Fort Hare did not pitch for their game, which was deemed a walkover.
It remains unclear whether Fort Hare have sorted their internal issues and will arrive for their away game against Komga United on Saturday.
Fort Hare have four games in hand and are in sixth place on 24 points.
Komga with 23 points, will hope for maximum points in the game as it will move them into the Eastern Cape Super 14 qualifying spots.
EL Police will play relegation-threatened Moonlight at Police Park in Cambridge.
The 2024 winners are fourth in the log with 27 points and three games to play.
Right above Police on the log are Swallows with 31 points after nine games.
At the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane, they are expected to run rampant over Ncera Leopards, who occupy the relegation spot with two points.
The other game of the weekend will see Breakers welcome Walter Sisulu University All Blacks at the Indoor Sports Field in Komani. Second-placed Buffs have a bye this weekend.
The tussle for promotion to the Super League is also tense in the second-tier Premier League with Lovedale College and WSU Eagles neck on neck.
The Eagles, though, have an advantage of a game in hand. They have played eight matches in the league and are at the top with 39 points compared with Lovedale, who have 37 points after nine games.
But the two sides will not be in action this weekend.
Other matches will be Africans and Tigers at Breidbach Rugby Field, a double header at Mpongo Rugby Field between Bussy Boys against United Brothers and Black Eagles versus Ntlaza Lions.
All Super and Premier League matches are scheduled to kick off at 3.30pm.
